Will the transom brackets from a 1960 18HP Evinrude 15302 fit a 1955 15HP
15014 ? Different part numbers, but look very similar?
Thanks,

I used my parts book for the 55, and MarineEngine for the 1960. I guess I need new glasses. Thanks for helping out an old (65) man.
Here is a diagram showing the crack on my mount. Not in the usual place. How in the heck did the previous owner crack that??? It’s unbelievable how banged up some of these old motors are. It’s almost as if they send them down a flight of stairs!

Unless you want to use the parts from a 1960 motor, here’s another source for a used complete stern bracket assembly from a 1957 Johnson 18hp that will also fit your 1955 15hp.

I’ve bought lots of used parts from this site and never got a bad piece – always quality used parts.

I have also used Brazilian Connection, and can vouch for them as well. Good pricing, and quick delivery.
