I bought a boat with a 1955 Evinrude Lightwin 3hp, it is very nice condition, and got it running good today. A new impeller is coming tomorrow. Does anyone have a manual for it? Thanks.
Here is some information on the Simplex starter that the 1955s used. Also, a diagram of the lower unit which you will need for impeller. I think this diagram is for 1958, but it should be substantially similar to what you have. Good luck!
