Does the motor use a twin hose tank? If so, do you release the pressure in the tank when you shut it off?

Hard to start after sitting for a while?

The fuel in the carb has probably evaporated and it will need priming. That’s what the thumb button on the tank is for, to prime the fuel system. It has to be pumped until it is firm and if the carb has fuel in it and the choke is working properly, the motor should fire off right away.

Hi again Mumbles! I really pump the prime bulb and almost flood the engine with fuel before it decides to start after it has sat for over a half hour. One mechanic up here suggested I buy a bottle of Quick Start (Ether, naptha and carbon dioxide). It works like a charm, let sit for just seconds and it starts right away.

But I don’t like the idea of doing this every time. Do you think I need a new choke?
