Does anyone have a copy of a service manual for the “title” motor? I am trying to get the gas tank off to clean the inside.
      Please let me know brauscher@sbcglobal.net

      Thank you
      Bill

I found these instructions for tank removal in one of these two manuals.

Thank you Mumbles. What is confusing me is that the magneto base won’t “lift out” and I don’t see what is holding it in. I don’t want to pry on it and risk breaking it.
          Any ideas?

It might have old and dried out grease holding it on? Time for some heat?

This is my 5 hp Flambeau. I don’t see anything obvious on the bottom side,
but presume it has a tension screw accessed from the hole shown in the
side of the mag plate. Not sure if that could be “holding up” your mag plate
              or not.

A tension screw. Exactly what crossed my mind at 4 AM this morning!

Now that I see that picture, I found the inconspicuous hole and sure enough, a tension screw!
Came right off after removing the screw.

                  Thank you for the info.
