I am working on this Johnson AD-10-m , 7.5 horse power outboard and have a question . I see where the tele-flex cable attaches for the throttle but not where it attaches for the shift lever. I am thinking that perhaps there was a bracket that attached to the motor then the cable hooked to it. If there was a bracket, does anyone have a part number or maybe a drawing/picture of one?

If you have the serial# go to marine engines.com and they will have the drawing

Yes, there was a remote control adapter kit. I’ll see if I can dig up the picture/part number.

Thanks for the picture, but now I am wondering did the attach to the motor cover or to the handle next to the steering pulleys?

                      It mounts to the cowling.
