      Hello all.
I will be heading to Vermont in the morning to probably over pay for a boat that I don’t want, but need, if that makes sense lol (?) Anyways, available with this boat at an additional fee is a supposedly running 1956 Mark-25E with steering bracket. From what I have learned from members of this site is that it is a desirable one as it has a dome feature casting on top of the starter.
      I have (2) questions tho.
      1) there is no tiller, is this motor capable to have remote throttle?
      2) Is $750.00 a reasonable price if compression is good and no burnt paint on power head?

Yes, you can run a remote throttle/gear shift. The steering bracket is obviously necessary to run and steer it remotely.

In my opinion, an electric mark 25, while a desirable motor, is not worth that kind of money. Even if it can be demonstrated to run, without the tiller handle it’s just too high.

Now if it’s in immaculate shape and has really nice paint and HAD a functional tiller handle then to the right buyer the asking price may be getting more realistic. Just my opinion but even with all that, 750 is still too high.
