      Bruce,

      It is a 1/4-28 bolt, but with a 3/8 head instead of 7/16. Length of thread is 9/16".

        Mumbles – Great tip on painting the shift rod notch. I had one restoration where I had some trouble lining the notch up correctly in the connector. Never thought of painting the thing. Like the old saying – you learn something new every day.
