I have the original wiring harness (external) for this engine but is in bad shape. The boat is a 1956 barbour with electric start. No generator. Any wiring drawings would be great or any resources. I would even consider to send the wiring out to be restored. The boat is fully restored, been in the family since new.
      Thanks Jeremy Taylor

If it was a motor I intended to keep like yours, I’d bite the bullet and buy a proper harness from here: http://www.nymarine.ca/wiringharness.htm

If your 1956 boat has a 1956 Johnson/Evinrude starter solenoid, it changed from 6 to 12 Volts in 1957. If you need one, Sierra marine #18-5807 is the 12 volt part.
