Is there any one of our talented group that restores these emblems? I’m redoing a friends motor and I would hate to put these back on a freshly painted motor.

      Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thank you

      Bill

I have touched up those badges with red- orange surveyor’s spray bomb paint.

I sprayed the paint into the cap and use an artist’s brush to apply several coats of the very thin liquid. It was easy to and looked very  fresh. The black lettering was fine on my examples were acceptable, yours looks good too.

Thank you Bill. How did you restore the yellowed plastic background?

Do you have a link to the paint you used?

I didn’t do anything with the white plastic or black lettering, I just touched up the red. The fresh red really seemed tp make the whole badge “pop” by covering up the faded and tired looking red.

Sorry, I don’t have a link, but the paint had been purchased from a local hardware store which I had on hand for tree marking.
