      Hey fellas got a quick question .. anyone know what this does  ( see attached picture ) looks like a knob with a grease fitting it slides in and out just above the transom clamp thanks in advance

        Tilt lock.  Holds motor up in tilted position. NOT for trailering, the clampscrew device on opposite side is for trailering.
