      I believe the only way you can tell the difference between the two is to look on the starboard side. The Unicharger has the Electramatic lower unit and the standard one has the mechanical shift lower unit. Now on some of the standard shifting motors, you could order or add the generator kit so the battery would stay charged. I also believe the Unicharger motor was the first alternator OMC motor.

        Hi thanks for all the responses! I actually OWN all of this, very cheaply as well, like mostly free. The boat that will be on the receiving side is below. The two items I also have is the eclectic start as well as this box (sharing below as well). What you see in these pictures is what I have. I also have the controls as well. I can contact the gifter if you think something is missing here…
