Before I go spending more money I wanted to check with you all.  When I thought my engine was ’61, I ordered a new nozzle for the carb because a little piece of the brass slot chipped off the original when I was taking the old one apart.  The ’61 nozzle is a different part number and is about 1/4″ shorter than the 1962.

I had the engine running in a barrel yesterday.  I was able to find a sweet spot just before it got too lean and got it to idle for a long time.

I still get a little fuel dripping from the front of the carb.  Not much but a drip every now and then.  It was worse before but I reset the float and cleaned out the needle.

Could a short nozzle also contribute to this?  Should I put to old one in even if it has little damage on the end?

Well, I would definitely use the original nozzle.  It’s not a big deal of the screw slot is a little buggered up, provided pieces aren’t going to snap off.

I apologize.  I think this was a duplicate post.  I did re-install the original nozzle.  It is running better without any drips from the carb. Anyone need a 1961 nozzle? 🙂

      Thanks
