                Thanks everyone, I’m going outside right now to fire it up, rebuilt powerhead, 1st try to see if she will run.

                Ran it for 20 minutes, ran great – would idle down to where you could almost count the revolutions and never sneezed once.

                    The Champion J4C was used only in the hotter running thermostat controlled outboards.

                      I can’t post pics here, too big! I’ll email pics to someone who can post them. I’ve gone in my PC’s "paint" and tried to reduce a picture size, but I don’t know how to post and reduce size.
                      1962’s use a thermostat, but since the water here in Florida never gets that cold, I put in a stainless washer that fits the thermostat grommet. Restricts the water flow enough and I don’t have to worry about (OH NO) salt water fouling the thermostat.
