Hello everyone, while scrolling through Craigslist I managed to find this beast, and hopefully a gem. I’ve done all the basic stuff when trying to revive an outboard and ordered a new belt for the magneto, but my main question is if anyone knows how this spring should be set up between this linkage, I’ve tried looking at diagrams etc but no luck.
If anyone else has some other pointers for this motor they’d be greatly appreciated

With throttle arm aligned as shown, magneto should be at full advance (in gear). Further movement of throttle arn compresses spring, opening carburetor throttle shaft all the way
