What is everyone’s opinion on displaying this running engine? The gearcase and prop are painted a dull grey. I could take the paint off and polish it to look really nice on a display.

But, does that diminish the value? Is it not good to do for other reasons?

Tying to learn the ropes.

The lower units and props were painted silver or aluminum.

Do you want it to look “original” or to make it into a decorative object? Personally I have no love for excessive polishing and plating, but it’s entirely up to you?

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
