      Hi, i have reciently bought a 1971 ted williams 9.9 and have no spark in either plug, thinking its the coils i have been searching for them with no luck. Any help steering me in the right or even possible direction would be greatly appriacted.

            Not to get off topic but who actually built those motors? Eska? A lot of times, Eska used Tecumseh stuff; so maybe there might be a Tecumseh connection with these coils, too? Just making things up, here….

              Yes, the engines were made by Tecumseh. Ignition often seems to be the issue with these. You can find them branded Sears (Ted Williams) or Eska, and 9.9 or 15 hp. Lots of info online about how to gin up working ignitions. Sometimes Tecumseh lawn mower parts are involved.
