      Hello, I am in need of the throttle return spring for a 1972 Evinrude 65 hp motor. Apparently they aren’t available new. The part # is 314807. Is there any NOS or used springs like this or perhaps a workaround.

        OK, well that spring was used to counteract the thermo electric choke from partially closing the choke at higher throttle settings…Not needed if you delete the thermo warm up feature on the choke solenoid….
        But, I found one on ebay if you want to replace it:

          or…. you can copy and size it properly and possibly make your own 🙂 if you have spring steel wire aka piano.
