      Hi everyone..i am new to this forum. I have to ask something that If you have a DVM (digital volt meter) you can test the voltage out of the stator. Sounds like you have a dead charge coil? You have two on the stator . Voltage should show around 180 at cranking speeds. You can try the one off your other engine or I can bring you a new one if you want?

        Thank you for the offer hollyjuster, but I have a new one on the way. I ordered one yesterday to replace the one I swiped off my other motor. WELCOME TO THE CLUB!! Always nice to see new members!

          HJ You can use a DVM, but it must have an adapter that can measure "peak voltage". The standard DVM might show something, but it won’t be the correct voltage spec, which is somewhere around 180 volts as you mentioned…
