Hello,
I do not know a lot about these engines or other outboards from the 70’s, but here are my two cents.
Outboards from the 70’s are tricky because they do not have as much collector value, but they are too old to be very desirable for the weekend fisher/boater who prefers the [somewhat better] reliability and periodical lack of smoke of a new 4 stroke if possible. Your target audience for this engine would likely be somebody with a small boat who wants a bigger engine, but does not want to pay for a new engine. I would guess that you could get at least a few hundred for it in good running condition because of it’s hp, but because it is not very desirable right now for collectors, you can’t expect to get that much out of it. I could be wrong about it having little collector value, but I cannot see many collectors I’ve met wanting an engine with a somewhat boring color scheme over something from the 50’s or earlier. Good luck getting the most out of it.
