Hello! My ’76 Johnson tilt /trim unit raises but doesn’t lower.  If I disconnect the trim (left) cylinder it will lower.  I lined up a mechanic to replace the whole unit with a used one but when he saw it he said he couldn’t do it because it was older than he thought–the cylinders are outside the transom brackets instead of within them.  I’m wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to find a complete, new old stock tilt/trim unit for this motor somewhere?  The motor is a Johnson Javelin 85hp.
