      Hi,

I’m new here so forgive me if I mess up a little. I am searching for a factory trim and tilt assembly for 1977 Johnson 75 Stinger. Model # of the motor is 75ELR77S. Not at all interested in an aftermarket unit like CMC.

      Anyone have any good suggestions?

Feel free to respond to my email: rmarkdavis@outlook.com

      Thanks for the help.

Factory T&T for that motor was the hang-on unit. Love it or don’t. You can view it on marineengine.com accessories parts book.

Finding a complete kit for that unit will be tough….You can surely try mariineengine.com, although I’m not sure if they have accessory listings. Keep an eye on ebay, post a wanted listing here in the classifieds. Sooner or later something will turn up. You may have to buy a few different broken units to make up one good one…
Try to stay away from salt water units, unless you know it works, trying to work on it will be near impossible…

I think I would look for a complete mid section from a slightly newer Johnson 70/75hp with the built in trim unit. Something from the early 80’s should work

The newer style began in 1978. but, be careful…………….. there are a lot of mid-section changes between 1977 and 1978 (and up). You may end up being better off buying a blown 78 up motor with TnT and placing your Stinger powerhead on it.
