seakaye12 I hooked up my timing light just to make sure I had spark on both cylinders . I had good spark on both cylinders when the motor was idling . When I turned the throttle up, there was a point when I got no spark on one cylinder.
That made me think that something electrical is breaking down as my rpms increased. This didn’t make me happy since I knew nothing about the electronic ignition or what to expect when I pulled the flywheel.I looked at the print that sears had online and found that they  had these things they call transformers that looked like coils to me. I researched further and found that some people retrofit sierra coils to fit these sears transformers. At this point I was ready to quit, but I pulled these transformers and tested them with a meter like I do to coils. I found one that had no reading through the spark plug wire so I pulled the spark plug wire end off and tested directly to the bare wire and got a good reading. I installed a new end and job done. The motor runs great after all those hours of frustration. thanks so much for staying with me on this. craig

Great!  It’s great when it turns out to be something simple!
