Another alternative is Dynamat. B.I.L. and a few of his hotrodding buddies swear by it.

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

I was looking for the same stuff, and Eastwoods product; DEI Boom Mat Underhood Thermal Acoustic, and 3/4 inch thick with self sticking on one side is ideal for my 1987- 30 hp. Thanks for posting

The Dynamat has been around a long time and is THE go to product by serious hot rod builders and restorers. It has proven it’s self in the market place time and time again for both heat shielding and sound reduction. I can tell you this from experience, if you clean/degrease the inside of your hood well the self stick Dynamat will never let go.
