WOW!!! This is by far the newest motor that I have seen!!! 😆
A nice looking longshaft. I really would like to get this one running. The problem is that there is spark on just one cylinder. It looks like it has both a power pack and an ignition coil.
My thought is that the power pack is probably good. Seems that there is no way to test it. But if I am getting spark on one, I am thinking that the power pack should be good. Ignition coil module bad?
Any and all advice is appreciated!!!
      Thanks

On the cylinder that isn’t producing spark, It is very important to have the fiber and metal washers in the correct order and location on the 2 bolts securing the coil to the head. Check the coil ground also ,disassemble and clean the bolts, washers and ground terminal, and look for a broken or corroded ground wire. Clean the coil and its ground tab.
Check that the spark plug spring terminal is not corroded and pierces the spark plug conductor.
Inspect the wiring from the power pack to the coils, flex the wires by moving the throttle as you check with a meter for continuity.
Anyone have a shop manual showing the correct sequence for the washers on the coils, and if so could you post the diagram. I was told it is very important, the manual also states so and has a close up diagram showing the washer type and position.
Thanks Johnnyrude200 for being clear on the above when i was working on my 1989 9.9 🙂

The later motors have a dual coil which has both coils in one unit. You can just swap the primary leads to see if spark follows the input from the pack or if the same coil still fires. If the same coil still fires it is the coil unit. If the same cylinder still fires it is the pack.

We have spark! Amazing how just cleaning up connections will do! My kind of fix; no money spent!
            Thanks.
