any special trick to remove a large bump 2X3 inches on a top corner … the round edge is pushed in may be an inch or so…. a nasty bump to say the least

the tank looks real good except for that nasty corner bump

I have seen utubes fixing car surface bumps using heat and cold to pop out a bump. the bump perimeter is heated up and center cooled fast to contract the metal and pop the bump outwards

anybody tried this on a fuel tank ??

I just fill them with Bondo before painting them.

I see those suction cup dent removers advertised, but they may only work on todays light gauge automobiles, or maybe they’re useless. Pressure tanks are pretty rugged . I usually assume that most major dents happen when someone drops a full tank on the ground.

I use JB Weld, with a skim coat of Bondo.

JB weld $$$ for that big bump….! NO

I will try to remove the top and pry out the bump from the inside if noting works

option A…. leave the bump in place ….

option B …. boiling water and a suction cup like on utube

option C fill with car putty and repaint as suggested 🙂

              thanks all
