      After the success of my first solo on an 1959 Mercury Mark 10A, I have started on a Mk15A and a Merc 250. Both run but are in need of water pumps and the 250 in need of new bearings as well. Enjoying working on these, the mk15 water pump cartridge took some doing to get it out but it was a salt engine at one time.

        Eric,

        If you enjoy working on the auto-shift Merc’s, then you are some kind of special!  Glad to have you here. They are a different animal and an engineering masterpiece as well as a mechanical nightmare. Keep them going!
