When dismantling the magneto plate of this motor, I noticed that the stacking sequence of the coil heel plates was odd numbered on one and differed from one side to another – which would have made the coil sit at a slight angle. The manual just advises the retention of screw ‘A’ in situ, so as not to upset the stack. Can anyone tell me the correct order to stack these please?

What does the other side look like? Are the matching coil ends the same? 😕

No they weren’t – was a similar order with a few extras! I assumed that each section with the inset would have to be 4 plates thick – in order to hold the coil plates (4 in each). Does logic dicatate that the coil would sit equidistant, in the middle of the top and bottom (thick plates), so the order would be bottom-4 long plates-4 short plates-4 long -4 short, etc till the top plate (with 4 long underneath that)? My overall thought is it should not matter much as the magnets will run over the complete face of the heel anyway..

Will keep me awake at night 🙄
