Hello Guys, I am about to pull my hair out trying to get this motor (1965 Evinrude 3 hp Model 3532) to start easy and run right. It has new pistons and rings. As a thought when I had the carb off(again) I put the palm of my hand on the intake and spun the motor over. As I had hoped there was nice suction that cycled on and off. It also felt like there was pressure between the suction pulses. Today as I was trying to run it there definitely was pressure pushing thru the front of the carb. I had put the horn/silencer back on and at anything above an idle there was a steady stream of air blowing out thru this hole in the carb. I was wondering if this is normal. It doesn’t seem right to me. And was an indication that the reed valve was maybe cracked. All help appreciated, John, Member 💡
