February 22, 2023 at 10:17 am #273019Hello,
SKF seal
Inside Diameter: 12.7mm = 0.5 inch
Outside Diameter: 25.37mm = 0.999 inch
Width: 7.95mm = 0.313 inch303345 – Seal –
1 Inch OD
I.D – 0.554
O.D. – 1.0
Height – 0.375https://www.marineengine.com/newparts/part_details.php?pnum=OMC0303345
I think it is a typo for the ID. 0.554 but the original seal 3/8″ thick vs 5/16″ thick of SKF. Does it matter?

February 22, 2023 at 11:12 am #273025My Notes also indicate a National Seal equivalent #473546.
Note however that National Seals are typically not Stainless Steel. Maybe not the best choice for a salt water motor…..but typically are pretty inexpensive and available at O’Reillys as well as numerpous other places. Good for a motor that won’t get used much?
February 22, 2023 at 12:12 pm #273030OK checked my parts zoo and found a CR5605 !!! I rember coating some a few yers ago with latex glue to protect against rust . (Memmory lapse!!)
Should keep notes like Steve D 🙂
thanks all for replies
