My 58′ “fat-fifty” needed a new distributor belt and I searched Ebay and marineengine.com for a new one. Found the price quite stiff, and as I work with spare part / machine elements I did another search for tooted belts with 3/8″ pitch and 3/8 with, 86 teeth.

The problem is that you have to make a purchase of at least $24.99 ( 5 pcs ) so you should have some friends who also need a new belt – or a lot of motors 🙂
Sorry for the bad english – I’m form Norway

Good find if they are the correct ones. So buy 5 of them, keep one as a spare and sell the other 3 for $10 each. You get 2 free belts and your buyers get their belts a lot cheaper than the $78 Marine Engine charges.

Thanks Jan for posting the tip. I already knew about Polybelt, but didn’t know they now have a minimum order. Still a good deal. They also have the OMC generator belts.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
