I have a 1934 Sportfour in rather nice condition minus the carburetor. It has disintegrated and I would like to find a replacement. My question is:

Will a 1939 sport four carburetor be a suitable replacement for my 34′?

It’s a pretty cool motor and I didn’t know that there was electric start made that far back. I hope to make this a good runner and maybe keep in my collection

I can’t answer your questions on the carbs, but here’s a photo of a 1930 with electric.
We’d love to see photos of your project!

Here are some pictures of my motor. I have looked all over the gas tank and have yet to find a single dent. Other than the carburetor I think just about everything is there

Yep – you found a good one there. WOW!!!

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
