      On my 1958 35 Buccaneer (it has a ’58 Evinrude exhaust housing and the pan above it swapped on, but that shouldn’t matter). A couple of the screws that hold the powerhead to the exhaust housing are dripping oily residue. I believe these screws extend into the crankcase, snd/or into the exhaust passage. Should I be putting sealer under them like we do on the lower gearcase screws? ….or some kind of thread locker on them to seal them up?

        I put OMC Gasket Sealing Compound.

        Mainly to save the NEXT guy from me in 50 years from fighting them! lol

        Seems like the rear 2 or 3 are always the stuck ones. The ones beside the water passage.
