greetings from Idaho…I have taken on a restore of a 37 twin its a diamond in the rough cracked gear housing bent shaft tube ,siezed piston, broken missing tiller handle and of course heavily damaged tanks and connecting plate for the pods, the left repairable but the right have been previously and poorly repaired and heavily abused since then. if anyone has any parts collecting dust or knows somebody that might, or even bone yard parts please contact me thanks much appreciated

January 29, 2021 at 9:58 am #229034yes sorry harry, it was a typo my fat fingers and a long day yesterday. 571-20 anyway a novice trying to restore this and looking for parts and advise, appreciate your time and concern looking fairly bleak for parts so far in the contacts i have put a word out to, keep me in mind please if something turns up…thanks again norm
January 29, 2021 at 11:12 am #229039January 29, 2021 at 9:24 pm #229062alote quieter then i thought it would be thanks tubs ya i seen some of your post prior i think you was saying it might be a burr in the exhaust side causing backfires but i could be wrong seem like only burps when idled down . anyway i will see it thru not much of a selection in southeast idaho. i am sure with t.l.c. mechanical side i can deal with hopefully piston frozen up with carbon and not a broken ring/scarred cylinder i am marinating in sea foam and time will tell and if that dont work i will take john co…da advice and boil it in vinegar. i will keep you in mind when i go thru the coil if its fried and reach out if your available . the handle and tanks or tank are another issue if you hear of parts available keep me in mind a for i am unsure how hard there to find these days thanks again norm
