      This carb looks like it should have a primer button of some kind where a broken off stud is. Does anyone have a photo of this or a similar carb showing the primer button?

            Thanks Stanley, that’s exactly what I needed to see what’s missing!

            Yours is the same style Wedgie, but slightly different. Is that an HD by any chance?

              Different model – same carburetor. On the newer models an extension on the high speed adjustment puts the knob above the fuel tank. On those, you prime the motor by pushing down the adjustment knob. The interlocking arm (shown above un-tightened) then does the pushing. . . 🙂

                  This new push thingie I made should work for now to prime the motor.

                  It’s sure nice to open up a 77 year old carb and find a very new looking float inside!

                  The carb’s done so now I can start playing with this new to me style magneto. First, the red wires have to go.

                  Does anyone have a photo of what this mag plate and its original wiring should look like?
