Picked up my first outboard this weekend… a 1969 Evinrude 4hp to put on my square stern canoe. It didn’t have any spark, but a points cleaning & adjustment fixed that. I checked the impeller and is was pliable with no cracking. Does the amount of “spitting” look normal? Probably will order an impeller anyway.
