      Hi, our 1956 Evinrude Big Twin 30 is stuck in forward gear. Manual shift lever on motor will not move back to neutral, as if locked. Does anyone know why this would happen and what to do to fix it? Thanks for any ideas.

        Move the throttle toward “Slow”.
