Planning on digging into this this winter and I am trying to figure out a few things first.

      1.  Proper service manuals, literature, parts list, and anything i can find. PDF downloads or if someone still prints copies of it. I found a few but i want to make sure i have the proper info, diagrams before I start breaking stuff. I mean fix. Restore. Definitely not break.

      2.  Does that 6 on the side under the shifter mean it was detuned, rejetted, ect. For lower hp and how to tell if it was done. Or was it some sick joke from 40 years ago?

      3. New impeller source. I heard someone has retrofitted a few honda or similar impellers for these.

      4. Bail-a-Matic. Anyone have the proper kit for that? What did it look like if there was such a thing.  Or was it just a hose that snaked off into the back of the boat?

      5. Just parts in general. Best source. Someone said that these use some kinda tractor condenser or one from a lawn mower of the day. Coils if anyone still makes them.

Info on motor:  Everything seems to be there on the motor. Turns over, feels like decent compression. Shifter shifts, albeit like a spoon through cold peanut butter.  Prop turns fwd and rev. Needles on carb are not seized. Twist grip is seized up. Not in handle. As far as I got into it.

I know this is a lot to ask all at once so  thanks for any information.

Mathew there are a couple of people on here who have PDF Scott Atwater Service Manuals. I have one that is nearly 700 pages long. I can get it to you if you can get me your e-mail address. The file is too big to post here and is also too big for most if not all e0-mail systems.

I will send it to you via Wetransfer. It’s free and easy to do that.

You an either post your e-mail here or send me a PM.
