I have the carb apart. My nozzle p/n 304601, item # 74 in the parts catolog has washer on the end that sits in the float chamber. I do not see this washer shown in the parts catalog. Does anyone know if this washer is out of place, on my carburetor. Not sure if it is suppose to be there or not. Thanks for any help

Technically they are only necessary on the fixed high speed jet models, however I install them on all my carbs I rebuild to prevent issues. It definately wont HURT anything.

I have a new nozzle 304601 and now I’m wondering how far do I screw it in? The washer on the old nozzle seemed to be a stop, the new nozzle has no stop washer Thanks for the help

X2 what Chris said. Your 35hp did not come with one, nor is it needed. The high speed needle adjustment compensates for any leakage around the nozzle. But it’s ok if you put one in anyway.

Screw the nozzle all the way in till it bottoms out.

They were first used on the smaller models because leakage there could completely negate the high speed adjustment. They felt the larger fuel demand of the big twins could tolerate that leakage. Like the man said, a seal there can’t hurt. It is essential in the fixed jet models. . . 😉

I like to put that doughnut washer in anyway, but to make it fit, you may have to reduce the thickness of it.
