Is this the same Frank of “Frank’s Outboard Tools”? If so, I’ve actually bought several tools from him, but not that one. I don’t see it on his website.

      Thanks,
      Mark

Frank no longer makes the seal puller. Although we sure wish he did…..(you listening frank?) 😀

Yeah, I keep hearing that all the time. But I still don’t nave any intentions of doing it. I turned my prints over to Richard White, and he seems to be finding it as difficult to make as I did.

Thanks guys. The motor did run great at high speeds after the carb rebuild. I guess I’ll take the flywheel off and check everything over and reposition the wires as Frank suggests. It would be good to see anyhow if there was any rubbing. We’ll go ahead and replace the spark plugs too.

One little problem is the boat is at our cottage over 300 miles away, the motor is here, and we won’t be going back to the cottage until next summer. Would a test wheel be a good choice to run it in the barrel to check things at higher speeds, and would anyone know the part number?

          Thanks,
          Mark

That is the purpose of a test wheel—sort of. It is made to run at proper RPM @ full throttle in a properly constructed and vented test tank. A barrel?? That depends. The test wheel certainly would be better than a regular prop. Use common sense and don’t go crazy with the RPMs

I have a test wheel for that motor if you are interested. Send me a PM.
