59 bracket and starter

Hello guys, Quick question. Will the starter and bracket from a 59 evinrude 18 bolt onto and work on a 57 Johnson 18?

I am kinda thinking the brackets are different due to the mounting for the different style hoods.

That’s what I was wondering about. If the ear for the hood bumper on the Johnson is part of the bracket or if the ear is on the intake manifold.

I have actually bolted a later starter on a ’57 18 in the past and it worked out fine. You will just be minus one front shroud mounting.
