Ok 1959 Evinrude 35 hp golden jubilee I salvaged a mag plate from a 1958 Evinrude 35 hp. Should have taken more pics of how it went back together. The back wire when it makes the loop, that brass plate coming off the armature plate, is this how it fastens? Thought there was a washer but when I put it on theirs no room for cotter key. Any diagrams or input would be appreciated 👍

According to the parts diagram, something’s wrong with the stackup

Ok another quick question? What is the part number for a complete water pump kit for 1959 Evinrude 35 hp golden jubilee? I found the impeller part number but wanna replace it all while I’ve got it apart. I’m wondering if they still make it as it doesn’t pop up in a routine search. Thanks
