Does anyone make/sell the impeller for these motors? I also have a frayed cable for the recoil start that needs replacing. Can you even get the cable anymore? I f not, how are you replacing these?

      Thank you for your help.

I used a Sierra 18-3073 impeller in mine. I can’t remember if anything had to
be modified on it or not, nor can I tell you if it pumped water, as the motor
was just too low on compression to start in the test tank.
Here’s all my notes, but I can’t swear everything is 100% accurate!

The photo shows the impeller, which I assume is the new Sierra one.

Thank you Buccaneer, I’ll give that a try. Any suggestions on a replacement for the recoil start cable?

Refresh my memory, does the rewind take just cable, or a rope with
cable inside? I’ve never found a good source for the later.
I’m sure if it’s just cable you need, you should be able to find it on the Net.
As long as it’s the same size and not too stiff, it should work.
Old Polaris snowmobiles used cable, but not sure if that help.

This one just has a cable with no rope around it. I know I can get the cable itself but this cable has “special” end caps on each end that I have no idea where to get.

I found a photo of my Flambeau rewind, it’s the same model motor as yours, and
mine had rope in it. Perhaps someone changed it over. Is rope an option in yours?

hmmm interesting. Then I’m going to use rope. I have rope.

                  Thanks for the pictures.
