Hey friends, I’m nearing completion of a overhaul of a 66″ 6HP Evinrude. Not that its a HUGE issue, but can anyone tell me/suggest what a good torque setting would be, for the bolts that hold the Powerhead to the rest of the motor? The Bolts go UP into the motor. I go snug, not super tight, but wouldn’t having a better idea of setting. Thank you

Well, the correct torque is 60-80 inch pounds…Not critical, but don’t over tighten them… The thing to remember is to “retorque” them after the engine has been run a bit….Just like the head bolts….

          Snug is good.
