Did the post vanish and then you were asked to sign in again? If so, welcome to the club literally and figuratively, too. It happens to me sometimes. It’s probably nothing you did wrong. I have started copying what I write, before I hit “submit.” That way, if it goes up in cyber blue smoke, I don’t have to type it again.

No it didn’t ask me to sign in again. It just came up as if I had not done the post at all.
I have had posts vanish that I had photos in, and I think it sensed I didn’t post the photos with the right procedure. Once I tried again, paying more attention to getting that right and it posted. Then the next day, my original post with photos showed up as a duplicate. This has happened twice, so sometimes, maybe someone looks at sensed mistakes and corrects them?
I’ve learned now that if I have a somewhat long post I don’t want to do over, I paste a copy into microsoft word and save it so I can paste it back when I redo the post. I’ve also learned that if I try a 2nd time, it sometimes tells me I can’t post the same thing twice, even if it disappeared the first time, so the 2nd time I change one or two words and it sometimes takes it.

August 25, 2020 at 2:56 pm #212633Are you sure the carb bodies are the same part number, that does not make sense to me. But, anything is possible.
How about reinstalling the larger 9.8hp high speed jet and retesting….August 25, 2020 at 3:05 pm #212634And yes, I have had issues with postings in the past…But, I’m pretty sure I figured out the problem. For what ever reason, it takes what seems like a long time for this website to actually process a posting and put it on the board. I just watch the little hour glass on my laptop before switching screens to make sure my posting actually finish processing and actually appears on the thread.
I’m pretty sure postings will vaporize if you change screens or hit any keys before your post is actually processed and appears on the thread. Oftentimes in the past, I ended up hitting submit again while my posts were processing, which resulted in double postings.
Just guessing here, but I haven’t had anymore trouble since I have learned to wait until my posts have completely processed before hitting other keys or changing screens.August 25, 2020 at 3:06 pm #212635Tubs-

Is it true that these two different hp models use the same carb body with different high speed jets?August 25, 2020 at 4:21 pm #212643Tubs-

DonI hear ya….This is very frustrating, especially if you have typed out a long post and gone through the effort of adding a picture/video….
