      are home made cut-up gasket sufficient or do I need the real thing below the water pump housing

      impeller lower half…… part of the impeller body……. came out when I tried to pull the drive shaft seal 😮

        If home made gaskets are not sufficient, a lot of us are in deep doo.

              In this case, I might even prefer a home made gasket. There aluminum wall is very thin around the outer edge, and the OEM gasket doesn’t cover it very well.
