9r69 and 9122 R 9.5 hp are starter parts same ? interchangeable

I’m no turtle expert, but I’m betting the starter parts are the same between your 1969 and 71 models..

The parts books show some different numbers, like the spool and lower spring retainers, but I don’t remember the details offhand.

On two motors I have, the starter spools are different lengths. One was an earlier model and the other had to be a later one as it had the braces under the hood.
