      Hey fellow motorheads!

I have been playing with an A-50 for several years and finally have it in running condition. It starts easy and runs great but it is not cooling in the barrel. Maybe these pressure/vacuum models don’t work well in a barrel or maybe it is something else. The cooling passages are clear.
this one does have the automatic exhaust valve on the driveshaft tube as well.
      Thanks for any feedback.

The pressure vacuum system definitely needs to be moving through the water to get cooling started.Even on a boat,it’s best to run them “fast” for a bit before idling.

With a bit of creativity one can rig up an adaptor to run water through the cooling system from the garden hose. Doesn’t have to be fancy or look pretty, just as long as its getting water up to the cylinders. Likely have to remove the prop for clearance.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I ran it again last night and made sure to speed it up when it first started and it was cooling properly. I ran it for quite a while with no issues other than getting wet from the initial surge in the barrel!
