I finally found a set of Alumacraft aluminum oars (that I could afford) for my Alumacraft ‘G’. They’re in good shape other than the wood handles…. I’m in the process of sealing them with fiberglass resin so I can fill ’em and make them ‘true’. Does anyone out there know what color they originally were?

I say "pardon me" a lot. I had a 20H, then raced open mod sleds.
mine are natural wood that is stained and varnished. Not painted.

Thanks, Chris… I was afraid of that. These are far too ‘gone’ to clear finish, unfortunately. I’ll ‘mud’ these up and paint ’em for the summer, and see if my Furniture Nazi buddy will turn me out a pair of replacements on his lathe at a later date.
