Hello! I am currently restoring a couple motors, an Elto Lightweight, Foldlight, and Evinrude Ranger (4407). Would anyone have any recommendations for the lower units? I was thinking of finding some JD Corn Head grease, or 105 grease for the lowers. I have seen many opinions, ranging from SAE 90 gear oil down to general purpose grease. If anyone has any more professional opinions, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Use grease on those motors rather than oil.

This conversation about a TD-20 LU has some good information that would somewhat pertain to those motors.  I decided to use Corn Head Grease on my motors.
