I just uploaded a video of an AOMCI meet held on the Suwanee River in September. For those folks who are interested in antique outboards but have never been to a meet this is an example of what we do during some of the meets. Other folks display engines and boats on land, and some folks do both.
The location was the Yellow Jacket Campground about 13 miles North of the town of Suwanee and an equal distance South of Old Town, Florida.
We have been known to do some fairly long runs (40+ miles sometimes) with the antiques and they pretty much never let us down during the runs. Enjoy!October 29, 2015 at 11:20 am #26231Great looking rigs and videography

You are now the official AOMCI videographer!
Bob DOctober 30, 2015 at 1:44 am #26252Johnny – Same place.
We have two meets per year there. Probably the most relaxing events and the most fun at the same time. No car traffic, hardly any boat traffic, tons of shade there. If you stay in the town of Suwanee there is only one restaurant for dinner….and its a good one. Local Marina in town for breakfast. Makes decision making very easy.
BTW – I have other videos of that river as well.October 30, 2015 at 1:58 am #26256Pappy,
Thanks for the video! Almost like being there.
October 30, 2015 at 2:52 am #26261Pappy, Nice Lyman! Just stripped my Wagemaker and storing inside for a long Wisconsin winter. I can’t wait to get her in the water again. I’ll be watching your video again when it’s minus 20.

Slim, I think our thermometers only go down to "frost" here in Central FloridaOctober 30, 2015 at 1:32 pm #26269There is a group of Feather Craft owners meeting at Yellow Jacket the end of Nov begining of Dec. Haven’t set a firm date yet but we’ll be in the area for 3 or 4 days with antique motors and boats. Also hitting the Silver river. All are welcome. I will post a firm date when we get one.
